The key enabler is the “invisible part” – involved and engaged people who make small improvements day by day, supported by their leaders. We do this by integrating our people into improvement activities, day by day process changes, use of tools and technologies that take waste away from our value streams. We make sure that our leaders create a culture of continuous improvement and support our people in their daily activities. We do our best to fully utilize the potential of all our employees.
In close co-operation with our suppliers and customers we are continuously questioning the status quo and implementing new ways of working. Starting from a detailed analysis of the current state, we identify waste and losses, implement improvement activities that bring us to a desired future state. This results in reduction of cycle times, flow improvements (of information or goods), reductions of inventory (WIP), better quality, on-tine delivery and as well cost reductions. All these factors help us to drive and improve customer satisfaction year by year.
All Fortaco sites are actively involved in Operational Excellence programs to continuously improve their performance. Lean principles have been the guidelines for all our efforts and many improvements have been implemented with very positive results in all areas i.e. less injuries, less defects, lower inventories, better delivery performance etc.
